It was as if I had been devoured by his soul and suddenly I was drowning in a torrid sea. Shooting Star The hour is getting late, the clock struck midnight long ago, I lie here in my lonely bed and in a daze, I gaze from my window. My Grandparents' House I stand outside the house lost in my childhood memories. Remembering Whiskey the dog who used to sleep in the road Rain Storm Rain clouds scurrying across the sky, turbulent in their shades of grey, a few huge raindrops plop from on high there will soon be more on the way. The Final Journey When death embraces us, tenderly touching our lips to steal our final breath, surrender willingly to its seduction, for we must give ourselves completely, heart and soul. My Shadow Stalker My shadow is my stalker, following me everywhere I go, it always travels with me, in the wind, rain, sun and snow. Autumn Equinox On this the first day of Autumn the sun is now on the wane, day and night are of equal length so a balance of light and dark will reign. The Heat Of The Sun The searing heat of the hot summer sun shines down unforgivingly upon the baked earth. Pervading stillness hangs like a heavy veil around us. The heat slowing each and every living thing. My Friend No-One Could See I had a friend no-one could see but I saw her and she saw me. We'd sit beneath the old oak tree where we talked together happily. Song From The Sea The sea so calm in her stillness, small waves rolling gently to shore, the sun reflects off the rippled surface, her timeless beauty hard to ignore. Why Why would he choose to be so cruel allowing awful atrocities to befall? Why would he be so evil, so vile as to take his anger, stew on it a while, My Little Sister She held my hand as we walked up the hill, my heart heavy as a stone but I tried to stay bright. It was a long time now since she had become ill. My little sister who had been so full of life. Sanctuary Time ceases to exist when I am here; this place of peace and tranquillity. I love this place; it feeds my very soul. It's where I'd like to spend eternity. Hang On To Your Dreams Be sure to hang on to your dreams and never let them go. Treasure them and nurture them, like seeds you'll see them grow. All poems of Jacqueline C Nash » Share your comments »
